Getting Straight to The Point. In Style, Of Course.
Over time, some of One10’s sales recognition programs take on new life, and new meaning as our clients’ needs evolve. One such opportunity came to us last year when the Executive Leadership Team of a global auto-manufacturer wanted to do something truly unforgettable to mark the 30 year anniversary of the start of the program.
We decided to take them literally and get straight to the point. Cape Point that is! Jutting out from the southwestern edge of the African continent, Cape Point is a spectacular seascape vista juxtaposed by a mix of jagged green hills, towering cliffs, and beautiful bays that some say feels like the edge of the Earth.
Guests were transferred via helicopter to Cape Point and took the tram to see the historic lighthouse, followed by a stop at Buffels Bay where we set up an oasis for champagne and oysters. Then it was on to see the penguins and enjoy a private lunch on the water’s edge in the picturesque harbor of Kalk Bay.
For this group, everything was customized, and nothing was off the shelf. These are well-traveled, highly-successful professionals who have come to expect personalized service and world-class experiences that they cannot do on their own. Given this, we included a surprise dinner in the bush with entertainment while we were at the private Sabi Sabi Wild Game Preserve.
At the end of the trip, more than half the guests opted to extend their stay, which we were happy to help accommodate and personalize. The continuity and institutional knowledge that our team members have amassed over the years helped to solidify the relationship and allow our team to operate as an extension of our client during the program. As a result, our client’s retailers were able to enjoy a truly exceptional, elevated experience.
