A trend is a prevailing tendency or inclination (according to the Merriam Webster dictionary), and travel and events are stock full of them. In our line of business, trends are not just “nice-to-knows”, but they guide our design and execution of client programs.

Sharing from the Inside Out

One10 offers several ways for employees to stay abreast of industry trends. We do this through an internal site where employees share their unique experiences as well as a designated trend sharing time during departmental meetings. We also distribute a monthly Industry Happenings Newsletter highlighting all the latest hotel openings, hotel renovations, destination information, hotel chain updates, and cruise line news.

Relationships Matter

It is no secret that we are a relationship company. We know our best work is accomplished with the support and input from our community – supplier partners, hoteliers, DMCs, etc. It has always been a priority for us to build strong relationships with our suppliers, so we are in frequent contact with all major partners, and they are expected to visit our offices at least once a year in order to learn from us, share new ideas, and keep the relationship strong.

One10 has representatives on many hotel, airline, and cruise-line advisory councils including Accor, Four Seasons, Marriott/Marriott Luxury, Destination Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt, and Belmond.

One10 Out and About

In recognition of our leadership within the industry, One10 is continually sought out to be interviewed for industry publications and speak at industry events such as Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) and Incentive, Meeting & Event Exhibition (IMEX). Within the SITE organization, One10 employees hold international board and trustee positions. Several of our staff are members of Meeting Planners International (MPI) and Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and hold leadership positions within local chapters.

To further expand their destination knowledge, employees take part in select educational trips to key destinations. All of these experiences are vehicles we use to share information with our internal teams as well as our clients.

Sharing is Caring

To bring some of our learnings to our tribe of clients and partners, we are starting One10 Travel & Event trends documents. We will be publishing these on a quarterly basis and sharing out on our blog and directly with our clients and partners.

Enjoy!
